Landscape Tech Meetups

Casual gatherings to talk about technology in landscape work. What actually works? What's just hype? Let's figure it out together.

We're organizing occasional meetups for people working in landscape — designers, contractors, developers — who are curious about technology but tired of vendor pitches and marketing BS.

Not a conference. Not a formal presentation. Just 20-30 people sitting down to talk about tools and tech we're actually using (or trying to use).

What We Talk About

Topics rotate based on what people want to discuss:

  • Design software — what do you actually use day-to-day?
  • AI tools — rendering, plant selection, documentation
  • Drones and site surveying — worth the investment?
  • Smart irrigation — does it work in this climate?
  • Project management tools — which ones don't suck?
  • BIM for landscape — anyone actually doing this?

If you've tried something and have opinions (good or bad), we want to hear it.

Format

~2 hours, evening

  • Someone shows a tool they use (15 min)
  • Another person shares their experience (15 min)
  • Open discussion — what works for you?
  • Hang around, talk, exchange contacts

Small group. No sales pitches allowed.

Who Should Come

  • Landscape designers curious about new tools
  • Contractors exploring tech for field work
  • Developers wondering what your designers should be using
  • Anyone working in landscape who's tech-curious

Whether you're trying everything new or still drawing by hand — doesn't matter. All levels welcome.
